Asake is Nigeria’s most-played Artist of 2023, Ayra Starr and Davido follow suit

Since his breakthrough into the mainstream in 2022, Asake has hit superstardom, significantly contributing to the global exportation of Afrobeats through his music.

According to the latest end-of-the-year charts released by TurnTable Charts, Asake concluded 2023 as the most-played artist across Nigerian radio stations, strengthening his position in the industry.

Following closely behind, Ayra Starr secured the second position on the list with 8.1 billion impressions, propelled by the commercial success of her hit singles ‘Rush’ and ‘Sability’.

Meanwhile, Davido claimed the third spot with 7.5 billion impressions, driven by the popularity of his chart-topping singles ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable’, both featured in his Grammy-nominated fourth album ‘Timeless’.

These rankings not only highlight the individual achievements of these artists but also underscore the vibrancy and dynamism of Nigeria’s music scene, further cementing its place on the global stage.

Rema is fourth on the list with 7.4 billion impressions while BNXN rounds off the top 5 with 6.4 billion.
